What's New?
Background Sync
Mobile sync has always been a necessary, but frustrating part of EDS. You need to ensure the Assessment you just performed is synced up to the web, but you want to get on with your work. In order reduce the time spent waiting for the app to sync, we have now moved a lot of the processes into the background, so the majority of the upload and download of data will simply occur while you continue to use the app.
You will no longer see the sync modal automatically pop-up at the end of an Assessment, the update of a Support Plan, or the upload of some Evidence.
However, some data can't currently be synced in the background, so it is still important to regularly run a full sync so that your device stays up to date. For this reason, your device will attempt a full sync every 48 hours unless you have already run one manually.
Usability Feedback Updates
We had some really useful feedback regarding some of the changes we've made to the iOS app recently, so we've made some initial updates to help alleviate some of your concerns.
Employee Search
The Employee Search page will now include all users from the Departments you have access to. We will no longer filter out the users from the Teams you own.
Criteria Selection Search Bar
The search bar in the Criteria Selection page of the Assessment will now search for Elements and Units, as well as Criteria.
We are planning to follow up with further updates in this area, so we can make it as easy as possible for your Assessors to set-up and manage their Assessments, thus allowing them to focus more of their efforts on the Employee, rather than focusing on their tablet.
Bug Fixes
No bugs were fixed as part of this release.

Allowing Managers & Assessors to access their own employee profiles so that they can keep track of their own Competency Cycles.
